Imo West: Why We Won’t Issue Okorocha Certificate Of Return – INEC
The Independent National Electoral Commission has disclosed that it would on Thursday issue certificate of return to all candidates elected in the last general election.
The electoral umpire, however, said it would not issue a certificate to Rochas Okorocha Okorocha of the All Progressives Congress in Imo West.
According to a statement posted on INEC website and sighted by us on Monday, the declaration of Okorocha as the winner was made under duress, hence, the reason he won’t be among those billed to be issued a certificate on Thursday, March 14.
The event would take place at the Africa Hall of the International Conference Centre, Abuja.
A statement by Rose Orianaran-Anthony, INEC secretary said all candidates are expected to be on the ground before 10am.
