Transfer: Ronaldo tells Juventus to sign Marcelo
Cristiano Ronaldo has asked Juventus to sign Marcelo from Real Madrid.
Ronaldo completed a £88million move to the Serie A champions this summer, after nine years at the Santiago Bernabeu.
However, L’Equipe reported on Thursday, that the Portugal captain wants to be reunited with Marcelo, who he was close friends with during his time in Spain.
Marcelo was linked with a move to Juventus, just a day after Ronaldo swapped the Spanish capital for Turin.
The Brazil international had fuelled rumours that he could follow the 33-year-old to Italy by saying: “Soon we’ll be together again”.
The report adds that if Marcelo arrives, Juventus will begin negotiations to sell Alex Sandro to Paris Saint-Germain.
